International Exchange
The Faculty of Pharmacy accepts a large number of students, clinical faculty members, and researchers from overseas, and plays an international role in both education and research. In addition, with the aim of broadening the international perspectives of faculty and students, academic exchange agreements have been concluded with the University of Southern California School of Pharmacy, Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy, University of Arizona College of Pharmacy, Shenyang Pharmaceutical University, China Pharmaceutical University, and Mandalay University, Myanmar. We carry out international research and educational activities centering on these partner universities.
In terms of research, we are inviting researchers from China and other countries to conduct joint research. In terms of education, we have invited clinical faculty members from American universities to provide guidance in undergraduate and graduate clinical pharmacy education and clinical training. On the other hand, we provide scholarships to students and conduct clinical training at affiliated medical facilities of partner universities in the United States, striving to develop clinical pharmacists with an international perspective.
Students of the Faculty of Pharmacy can observe related medical facilities at the College of Pharmacy of the University of Arizona, etc. which has an academic exchange agreement with us, and participate in clinical pharmacy training programs planned by each university. Understanding the state of medical care and the role of pharmacists in the United States, which is a medically advanced country, is extremely beneficial for students aiming to become next-generation pharmacists. In addition, exposure to other cultures will be a good opportunity to reconsider oneself, increase a multifaceted perspective and awareness of study, and be useful for a more fulfilling student life afterward.
